Elie or, Eliezer, is the protagonist in his own book “Night”. He is brave and stands tall during his horrific time in the concentration camps.Despite everything he goes through, Elie keeps a strong faith in his god.Until the end, Eliezer manages to stay loyal to his family and friends, even when circumstances make it nearly impossible.At the beginning of the story, Elie is just a young Jewish boy growing up in an all Jewish community.At this point, Elie has little to worry about except his schooling, something that he enjoys. However, he is a dynamic character. Eliezer undergoes significant change by the end of the book. Elie changes from a boy to a man in the course of only three years. His outlook on life transforms from light to dark and a life full of so many potentials turns its back on him. Elie not only changes emotionally but physically as well. This gradual metamorphosis occurs as a result of the horrific events Elie witnesses during his time in Poland and then in Germany.

Hitler and the Nazis play the role of antagonist in this story.They believed that not all people were equal and that all Jews should be exterminated. Their goal was to make sure that only an ideal race walked on earth. This race included people with blonde hair and blue eyes.All and all Hitler and the Nazis were racist, domineering monsters who wanted to take control of the world.They enforced their laws and took away many rights. This antagonistic group created a brutal, inhumane and unforgiving regime and enslaved the Jews in it. The Nazis are a static character because from the beginning of the story to the end of the story they remained corrupt and never changed their unjust ways.
This picture of a burning fire represents Hitler and his band of Nazis. Just as this fire is destructive, so are the Nazis. They are both capable of ruining lives and destroying everything in their paths.
